MEET THE TEAMS OF THE
2004 GREAT PLAINS FOOTBALL LEAGUE

NATIONAL CONFERENCE TEAMS & DIVISIONS

SOUTH DIVISION
Is the toughest division in the G.P.F.L.! The defending 2003 G.P.F.L. Champions, the Rochester Giants return to defend their South Division Title as well as the G.P.F.L. Title, they have added more talent and weapons to their already powerful team. Also, returning are the Lake City Legends who have made the play-offs every year since joining the league and without a doubt will be in the thick of things once again this season. The River Valley Knights return as well in hopes of returning to their previous years form, prior to last season and regain the respect they earned in their first years in the league. The fourth member of the division is the mighty Chippewa Valley Predators who join the South division after the league added more teams and did realignment. Look for the Predators to battle the for the division crown as well. The Predators have been in three straight G.P.F.L. Title games. The Predators have two GPFL Titles (2001 & 2002) and had a shot at a third GPFL Title (2003) only to be stopped short of a record three straight GPFL Titles by the Rochester Giants. This will be a great divisional race all season.
Predicted Order Of Finish;
1. Giants*
2. Predators*
3. Legends
4. Knights

EAST DIVISION
A new division in the expanding G.P.F.L. with two veterans members and two new members. The returning veteran teams are the Northern Michigan ArcticBlast (UP of Michigan)who hope to get back to their first year form in the GPFL and put all the other teams on ice. The other veteran team is the Wausau Panthers who made big strides last year, but sputtered late in the season after a great start. Look for them to focus and get back in the race for the division crown. The new members of the division are the Wisconsin Blaze (Green Bay Area) who hope to make an impact right away and Blaze their way to the division crown. The other new addition is the Windy City Buccaneers (Chicago Area) who bring a solid team into the division and are ready to sieze the divisional crown and hopefullly move on to the bigger prize, the G.P.F.L. Title. This division will be a dog fight as the defenses will dominate.
Predicted Order Of Finish;
1. Windy City Buccaneers*
2. Wisconsin Blaze*
3. Northern Michigan ArcticBlast
4. Wausau Panthers

AMERICAN CONFERENCE TEAMS & DIVISIONS

NORTH DIVISION
The Alexadria Mustangs are the only veteran team in this division as they look to continue their dominance and successful football style in going to capture another division crown and a shot at the G.P.F.L. Title. They are joined by these new members starting with the Duluth-Superior Shoreman who look to turn heads right away and also look to beach the rest of the competition and make push for the divisional crown. The Iron Range Hitmen also join the North division with hopes of making a sudden impact and jar the division crown loose of the other teams in the division and catch it for themselves. The final member of the division is the Northern Wisconsin Reapers (Lady Smith Area) who hope to scare teams into submission and take the divisional crown for themselves. Look for the Reapers to be competitive and fight for the division title. This division will be about who can handle or slow down the Mustangs, whoever, has a shot to claim the division away from them as they are the favorite in this division.
Predicted Order Of Finish;
1. Mustangs*
2. Shoremen*
3. Hitmen*
4. Reapers

WEST DIVISION
A new division in the G.P.F.L. which has two veteran teams. The West division has actually three returning teams when you look at it from last seasons teams. The oldest member of the GPFL is the Minnesota Stallions who played the last few years in the South division and will now move into the West division. The Stallions will look to compete for the divisional crown. Another member of the West is the Oakdale Outlaws formerly the Metro Force. The Outlaws have had some major changes and new additions to their franchise look for them to steal the show as they lay claim to the division crown and and shot at the G.P.F.L. Title. The Twin Cities Titans (have alot players & staff from the MN Federals) will be ready to battle for the divisional crown and also a shot at the G.P.F.L. Title. The fourth member was to be the Kansas City Twisters (Great People & Organization and our prayers go out to them) but, due to a some personal issues they had to withdraw for this season, leaving a void. In which the league is looking to replace KC Twisters with most likely the Minnesota Marshalls, who are in the process of filling that void, as they are in the process of finalizing the deal! Stay tuned for further G.P.F.L. News & Updates on this as it becomes available!
Predicted Order Of Finish;
1. Outlaws*
2. Titans
3. Stallions
4. Marshalls

* = Predicts that team to make the play-offs
