8/21/04 - The 2004 G.P.F.L. CHAMPIONSHIP GAME GOES DOWN TO THE WIRE!!!

Rochester, MN - The 2004 G.P.F.L. Championship game between the top two teams took place on Satuday, August 21, 2004 at Soldiers Field. The Defending 2003 G.P.F.L. Champs, the Rochester Giants (11-0) hosting the Twin Cities Titans (10-0) both undefeated and ranked in the top 5 nationally. The game was everything it was hyped up to be as both teams could not get it going early as the first quarter ended with score 0-0. As the second quarter began so did the teams offenses as they exchanged leads in quarter. The Rochester Giants scoring first but they would miss the PAT however, Giants 6, Titans 0. The Titans stormed right back and marched right down the field and scored on the number one defense to tie it up and then take the lead on the made PAT to go up 7-6, Titans 7, Giants 6. The Giants would return the kick-off into Titans territory, giving them excellent field position, which they soon capitalized on with a 40 yard plus scoring strike from (QB-#13) John Hauser to (WR-#18) C.J. Woods to take the lead 12-7, the two point conversion failed, leaving the score the Giants 12, Titans 7. The Titans again would answer with another impressive drive deep into Giants territory with time running out in the second quarter the Titans would have to settle for a Field Goal, which made the score at half Giants 12, Titans 10. The third quarter would be owned by the Giants as they used their powerful running attack to chew up the ground and also time as they had the ball for almost the entire quarter, giving no chance for the Titans to get on the board. The Giants would finish off the long sustaining drive with a touchdown pass from (QB-#13) Hauser to (WR-#2) Greg Picker and the PAT was good to give the Giants a commanding lead at the end of the third quarter, Giants 19, Titans 10. In the fourth and final quarter neither team were able to establish much offense. The Titans however got in field goal range at about the 6 minute mark of the quarter and made good on the attempt to cut into the Giants lead 19-13 with a little over five minutes to go in the game. Both teams would throw interceptions. The Giants would falter on their next possession as well, on fourth and long they were set to punt the ball away, but a high snap they over the head of the Giants punter, he raced to to get possession but instead kicked the ball out of the endzone, which turned out to be a wise decision, for a Titan safety. Now with the Giants lead cut to 19-15, with about 3 minutes remaing in the game. Titans would get one last drive to try and take to the lead and the game from the Giants. On the drive however the Giants would intercept the ball deep in their own territory only to have the defender get up and spike the ball backward, which the ball was still live at that point, two Titans players raced fro the loose ball which headed down inside around the 5 yard line and Giants player would make a great block throwing his body into one if the two Titan players knocking them out of position to come up with the ball and allowing his own player/teammates to get a shot at recovering it in which (LB-#37) Joe Ties did come up with it down near the goalline. With the Giants pinned depp in their own territory the Titans still had hope. But with the strong running game of the Giants would the Titans be able to stop them and get the ball back. The Giants powerful offensive line and three tough running backs (RB-#20)Dusty Hageman, (RB-#42) Kurt Lange and (RB-#44) Ryan Walch took over and never quit they just kept driving their legs and battling to make first downs and move the chains and did just that as the Titans would not get another shot, as the Giants ran out the clock to win their second consecutive G.P.F.L. Title (Back-to-Back Champions) as they hold on to win 19-15 and the 2004 G.P.F.L. Championship, great game, hard hitting, fast paced and exciting, will undoubtedly be one to remember for years to come. Congratulations to both the Rochester Giants and the Twin Cities Titans on great seasons, awesome!!! G.P.F.L. Football it doesn't get any better than this! Stay tuned for more great G.P.F.L. News & Updates!

8/14/04 - The G.P.F.L. Conference Championships Games Exciting, Close & Hard Hitting As Expected!!!

The Great Plains Football League held their Conference Championship Games this past weekend with some thrilling, down to the wire and hard hitting football which are now the forte of the league.
The Defending 2003 GPFL Champs, Rochester Giants (10-0) hosted the National Conference Championship Game with the Lake City Legends (9-2) their Divisional & Conference Rival. The two teams met earlier this season on two occasions with both games being very hard hitting and close, but with Rochester coming out on top on both also. The Lake City Legends only losses of the season were to the Giants. The National Conference Championship game was everything and more as the two powerhouses' met for the third time this season. Would this be the Legends game? Or would the Giants prevail once again? Well it was a classic GPFL play-off game, as the fans were treated to one they'll remember and go down as one of the best games played. The two teams squared off and battled for four quarters. The Giants were up 7-0 when the Legends came back to make it 7-6, but failed on the two point attempt, leaving the score at 7-6. Just before the half ended the Giants made a major mistake on the punt return as one of the Giants players picked up a punt then tried to lateral it in which the Legends coming up with the ball and returning it inside the two yard line to around the one. The Giants would not break as they came up with a goalline stand, Lake City couldn't believe they didn't get in, the half ended with the Giants 7 and the Legends 6. In the second around the mid-third quarter the Giants scored to make it 13-6 as they failed to concect on the pat/conversion. Legends would not get that close again as the Giants held tough and held on to win their second consecutive Divisional/Conference Title and a chance to Defend & Repeat as the G.P.F.L Champions. This will be the Giants third trip to the G.P.F.L. Championship Game (2001, 2003 & 2004).

In the American Conference Championship Game the West Division Champs, the Twin Cities Titans (9-0) hosted the Duluth/Superior Shoremen (8-2) the North Division Champs in Richfield at Holy Angels High School. The Two Teams met earlier this season at the Shoremen's homefield with the Titans coming away with a lopsided win 47-7. Would the Shoremen be able to stop them this time around? Or would the Titans roll-over them just as they did previously this season? Well, the game was played in a typical true G.P.F.L. fashion both teams battling it out on the field with both teams going back and fourth. The Shoremen got on the board first with a field goal to go up 3-0 which it remained at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter the Titans would finally get on the scoreboard with a touchdown and the pat was good, with the score 7-3 at the half. The Shoremen would answer in the third with a touchdown of their own to give them the lead at 10-7. Later in the same quarter the Titans would score again to make it 14-10 in their favor, but the Shoremen were not about to go away with out a fight, as they once again came down a scored to take the lead 17-14 heading into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter however it was all Titans as they scored 20 unanswered points to win the American Conference Championship 34-17 and earn their first trip to the GPFL Title Game. It was great football this weekend courtesy of the the G.P.F.L., special thanks go out to the G.P.F.L. Play-Off Teams; the Alexandria Mustangs, Duluth/Superior Shoremen, Lake City Legends, Minnesota Stallions, Upper Peninsula Arcticblast, Wausau Panthers and to all their Players, Coaches, Family, Friends & Fans for making this a very special year here in the G.P.F.L.!!!

The Giants & the Titans, both are powerful, nationally ranked and undefeated. They will meet in the G.P.F.L. Championship game on Saturday, August 21st, at 7:00 p.m. at Soldiers Field, you won't want to miss it!!! Stay tuned for further G.P.F.L. News & Updates!!!

8/1/04 - Final Week Of G.P.F.L. Regular Season Play!!!

The Final Week Of Regular Season Play had it's share of excitement. In the GPFL's NFC Play-Off Picture, the Windy City Buccaneers who have a been on a roll as of late and with some help could get into the play-offs with a win and a Wausau Panther loss. First they had to travel up to the UP to take on the Arcticblast. It is a tough task for any GPFL team to win on the road. But the Buccaneers haven't abandoned ship they have stayed the course and sailed through the rough waters to a calmer ocean. They again rallied the mates and came up with hard fought win over the Arcticblast by the score of 22-18. Now the waiting game for the outcome of the Wausau Panthers. The Wausau Panthers in a must win situation to get into the play-offs, had to maintain their focus and get the job done. With theiir fate in their own hands they did just that as they came away with a 21-7 victory over the Wisconsin Blaze and thus earning a wildcard slot in the GPFL's NFC Play-Offs and in the process also set a franchise record for wins in a season. The big game of the week in the National Conference was the 2003 G.P.F.L. Defending Champions, the Rochester Giants, at stake a game that would decide the division title as well as secure home field for the NFC Play-offs. The two teams having already met once during the season with the Giants defeating the Legends 21-14 in a classic GPFL Battle, the Legends only loss of the season. And with so much riding on this game you knew it would be a another classic GPFL game. The game was tied throughout the first half at 0-0 and remained that way until late in the third but the Legends finally wore down and the Giants finished what they started with this season, a win (22-0) and as the GPFL South Division Champs (2003 South Division Champions. In other NFC action the Chippewa Valley Predators in their regular season finale against the River Valley Knights got a forfeit win as the Knights failed to make the game. In doing this, they also now face banning from the G.P.F.L.! Make sure you get one to see some of these play-off games as you will be treated to some of the best football in the country.

In the GPFL's AFC Play-Off Picture all the teams were already set. The only thing yet to be determined was the GPFL North Division Crown and who would host the first round in the play-offs. The GPFL AFC Game Of The Week featured the Alexandria Mustangs traveling over to Duluth to take on the Shoremen. The two teams met earlier this season with the Mustangs winning by the score of 21-14. In the tie breaker rules the Shoremen needed to win by 8 points to win the division, a win by anything less than 8 points would make the Mustangs the North Division Winners. So with that on their minds and in their game plans for each team the stage was set for another dramatic finish in the Great Plains Football League. With the Shoremen leading the Mustangs by only a couple points and with time running out on their division crown title hopes, the Shoremen threw up a prayer as it sailed through the air 24 yards to the endzone. The pass was caught as timed expired and their prayer was answered as they clinch the GPFL North Division Title with a 15-6 victory and will now host the Mustangs (Wildcard team) in the first round of the AFC Play-Offs, what a game! Fans get treated to game to remember. You won't want to miss this one when they have the rubber-match this weekend in the GPFL NFC First Round Play-Off game! Get your tickets early as it will be standing room crowd only! In the other Play-Off teams action the number one seed Twin Cities Titans defeated the Oakdale Outlaws 54-8. The Titans (GPFL AFC West Division Champions) will now host the Minnesota Stallions (AFC Wildcard) in the GPFL's AFC Play-Off First Round game. The Stallions were idle this week. In other AFC action we saw the Northern Wisconsin Reapers pick up another win as they defeated the Iron Hitmen 42-6. Good Luck to all the GPFL Play-Off Teams this weekend, hope to see you all there!!! Stayed tuned for more G.P.F.L. News & Updates!

This honor now makes Ryan eligible to be named to the Minor League Football News All-American Team at the end of the season. McKone joins Shoremen runningback, Kamden Vedder, as two Shoremen players to receive this high honor in their inagural season of play in the GPFL.

7/19/04 - G.P.F.L. PLAY-OFF PICTURE STARTING TO TAKE SHAPE!!!

The 2004 G.P.F.L. Play-Off Picture starting to take shape after some teams wins and losses in key games, with more to come in the final two weeks of regular season play. Let's start with the The Twin Cities Titans who clinched the GPFL/AFC West Title with a thundering 61-6 win over the Iron Range Hitmen. The Alexandria Mustangs clinched a spot in the play-offs as well with a 31-14 victory over the Minnesota Stallions, despite the loss the Minnesota Stallions also have clinched a wildcard spot, as they hold tie-breaker over the Reapers. The Northern Wisconsin Reapers shutout the Oakdale Outlaws 20-0 to pick up their second win on the year. The Duluth/Superior Shoremen were idle this week, but also have clinched a play-off berth, still have a shot a the division title if they can defeat the Mustangs in the final game of the regular season and have a bigger point differential. So it will be interesting the next couple of weeks in the GPFL/AFC North.
In the GPFL/NFC East it's a three way race and is as close as it gets, nothing has been locked in as of yet. The Wausau Panthers and Northern Michigan Arcticblast seem to have the inside track as both are tied with identical 5-3 records after they both posted wins this week and have split in head to head games during the season. The Wausau Panthers shutout the River Valley Knights 33-0 and kept their division title hopes alive. The Northern Michigan Arcticblast knocked the mighty Chippewa Valley Predators out of the play-off picture for the first time since their existence with a 20-3 victory. Chippewa Valley is eliminated because of the tie breaker as they lost to both Panthers and Arcticblast in head to head games. They could have only been a wild card, but due to the loss tis weekend they are now out of the play-offs and stops there bid to get back to a fourth straight GPFL Championship game. Hats off to A great run by a great team, hope they can bounce back and regroup to start another streak. The Windy City Buccaneers still have a pulse and slim play-off hopes are still alive. They control their own destiny as they have to win the last two games of the season and have a better point differential. The play the Panthers and Arcticblast in the final two games, tough road. The Rochester Giants defeated the Windy City Buccaneers 33-22 to clinch a play-off berth. The Lake City Legends kept right on their heels, with a convincing 30-14 win over the Wisconsin Blaze. The Legends also have clinched a play-off berth and kept their division title hopes alive with the win. They could win the division if they defeat Rochester in the final regular season game and have a better point differential. If Rochester wins out they would host all the way throughout the play-offs and host the championship game. The final two weeks should be very interesting, maybe some spoilers and or upset will take place but one thing is for sure that it will be exciting. Check back for more GPFL News and Updates!!!

7/11/04 - The G.P.F.L. Had Some Bigtime Showdowns In Week Number Seven!!!

Only Two teams remain undefeated with teams' still nippin' at their heels. Let's start with the National Conference first and the Undefeated Rochester Giants as they played over the fourth of July weekend at the Annual Bean'N'Bacon Days game as they defeated the Chippewa Valley Predators by one point to claim the 9-8 victory and remain undefeated with a perfect 6-0 record. The Lake City Legends stayed right on their heels as they devoured the River Valley Knights 60-6. The Lake City Legends moved their record to 6-1 on the year. While the River Valley Knights fall to 0-6 on the season. The battle for first place in the East Division just got even tighter, as the Wausau Panthers squeaked past the Arcticblast 3-0 to claim a share of first in the GPFL East Division of the G.P.F.L. 7/03/04 - Most G.P.F.L. Teams' Are Off Over the 4th,
With Only The Classic Bean 'N' Bacon Days Game
Being Held In Augusta, Wisconsin, Featuring
The Hometown Chippewa Valley Predators Facing The Undefeated Rochester Giants.

Last years Bean 'N' Bacon Days game was as good as they come in semi-pro football or anywhere for that matter. As it came down to the last play of the game to determine the outcome, awesome! This years game was another one of those kind of games only in the opposite direction of last years which was high scoring shoot-out, this years was a classic low scoring defensive battle. The Predators got on the board first in the first half, after the Predators had intercepted a Giants pass they drove down and scored and coverted on the two point conversion to go up 8-0. Later just before the half, the Predators had another opportunity to get on the board with only seconds left and instead of trying a field goal and they decided to go for the touchdown, the Giants stopped them. Score at half 8-0 Predators leading. In the second half it was a classic hard hitting and on the edge of your seat type of football game. The type of game a true football fan wishes for. The Giants got on the board in the second half, but failed to convert on the two-point attempt. The Predators still clung to an 8-6 lead going into the later part of the game. With the time running down the Giants drove into field goal position and with 1:04 remaining kicked a 30+ yarder to take the lead 9-8. The Predators had a great return on the ensuing kick-off and and with time slipping away. The Predators number #1 Dave Hildebrandt made one heck of a play and catch deep into Giants territory. The Giants Defense toughened and were able to stop the Predators and hold on for a 9-8 victory. Giants 9 Predators 8!!! Great Job, Great Game, Congratulations to both teams on a superb game, that is what the G.P.F.L. games and teams are all about, tough competition and thrilling on the edge of your seat type of games that keep fans talking about for years to come!

The Minnesota Stallions out ran the Northern Wisconsin Reapers 14-6. The Oakdale Outlaws picked up their first victory with a 14-6 narrow win over the Iron Range Hitmen, The Hitmen were on their own 5 yd line, with around one minute to play when they connected on a big pass play who looked like he may score but who was tackled on the 14 yard line or so. The Hitmen had chances to scored on the last two plays of the game, but the Outlaws held on for win. The Twin Cities Titans sunk the Duluth/Superior Shoremen 47-7. The Lake City Legends stop the Windy City Buccaneers 20-6. The Wisconsin Blaze burned up the River Valley Knights 33-12 to pick up their first victory of the season. In the Battle for Wisconsin supremecy, the Wausau Panthers narrowly escaped with a 12-6 win over the Chippewa Valley Predators in overtime. Panthers can claim bragging rights this season, as the Wisconsin Champs! The Rochester Giants continue to roll and they crushed the Arcticblast 48-9. The Alexandria Mustangs had the week off.

6/22/04 - G.P.F.L. Action, Week Five, Great Match-Ups and Great Games!!!

The Great Plains Football League played week five this past weekend with the much anticipated match-ups and games slated. The match-ups and hyped games did not disappoint the G.P.F.L. Fans as they were treated to some of the greatest action this season and one of the best games ever according to onlookers who been involved with the league for the past four or five years. They said it was hard hitting and fun to watch. Some of the best football he has seen played since he has refereed for several years. The game he was refering to was the "Game of the Week" Rochester Giants versus the Lake City Legends. The game was played in Lake City with both teams undefeated and vying for first place in the South Division of the G.P.F.L. National Conference which has been labeled the toughest division in the G.P.F.L.! The game was a classic grid iron battle as the Lake City Legends went up 14-7 in the first half and carried that lead into halftime. In the second half however the Giants restablished themselves and took control as they over came the seven point deficit to claim the lead and the game from the home team Lake City Legends. Great Game, Great Teams and to think they will play again get out and see it if you get the chance, you won't be disappointed. With the win the Rochester Giants reamin undefeated at (4-0) and will now face East Division leading Michigan Arcticblast (4-1) for another great battle this coming weekend! The Lake City Legends slipped from the undefeated ranks to (4-1) on the season and now will battle the Windy City Buccaneers (2-3) this coming weekend.
The Northern Michigan Arcticblast traveled to the Windy City to take on the Buccaneers which was to be another close game, which it was. The Arcticblast put the Buccaneers on ice as the game went into overtime with the Arcticblast coming out on top 21-15. Great game between the two division rivals. The Arcticblast moved to (4-1) on the year and travel to Rochester to take on the Giants, the Defending 2003 G.P.F.L. Champs. The Buccaneers drop another close one, which drops them to (2-3) on the year. They will now face the Lake City Legends who just gave the Giants all they could handle this past weekend! Should be another great game. The Undefeated Duluth/Superior Shoremen traveled to Alexandria to face the Mustangs in what was billed as another big Game in the G.P.F.L.! Which it was as the Mustangs stopped the Shoremen 21-14 to claim first place in the North Division of the G.P.F.L. American Conference and a (4-1) record on the year. The Shoremen tasted their first loss and now fall to (4-1) on the season. The Mustangs are idle this week. The Shoremen however prepare for the undefeated Twin Cities Titans (4-0) to come to town this weekend in what will be the Game of the Week! The Titans are coming off a big win over the Oakdale Outlaws 56-14, the Oakdale team falls to (0-4) on the season and will now face the Iron Range Hitmen (0-4) this saturday, should be a good game. The Iron Range Hitmen had a hard fought game as they let the Northern Wisconsin Reapers slip past for a 6-0 Reaper Victory! The Reapers move to (1-3) on the year and now will face the Minnesota Stallions on Saturday. The Stallions (2-2) are coming off a bye week. In other G.P.F.L. Action the Chippewa Valley Predators devoured the River Valley Knights 69-6. The Predators move up to (3-2) on the year and the Knights drop to (0-4) on the season. Next up for the Predators are the Wausau Panthers (2-3) who shut-out the Wisconsin Blaze 30-0. The Knights (0-4) host the Blaze (0-5). Stay tune for further G.P.F.L. News and Updates!!!

6/11/04 - WEEK FOUR MATCH-UPS IN THE G.P.F.L.!!!

The Great Plains Football League moves into week four of league play. The match-ups for each game are listed below.

The Iron Range Hitmen (0-2) travel to Mustang Territory to take on the Alexandria Mustangs (2-1). The Mustangs coming off a close game last week look to recharge their offense and team as they play at home for the first time this year. The Hitmen coming off a big loss, look to fair better and get on track after scoring their first points of the season last week. Look for the Mustangs to get on the board early and keep the ball away from the Hitmen. Prediction Mustangs over Hitmen.

The Undefeated Duluth/Superior Shoremen (3-0) travel to Northern Wisconsin to take on the Reapers (0-2). The Shoremen coming off a offensive explosion last week hope to duplicate that output this week. The Reapers coming off a tough loss at home against a very good Alexandria Mustangs team. Hope to have the same defensive effort against the Shoremen this week. Prediction Shoremen over the Reapers.

The Minnesota Stallions (2-1) travel across town to take on the Twin Cities Titans (2-0) in a battle for first place of the West Division. Stallions coming off a good team effort over the Outlaws last week, hope to have the same type of effort this game against the high powered Titans Offense. The Titans coming off a bye week look to pick up right where they left off, scoring and winning. Prediction Titans over Stallions.

The Windy City Buccaneers (2-1) sail up north to Wisconsin to battle the Wausau Panthers (0-3). The Buccaneers coming off two straight wins look to continue their defensive dominance and put the pressure on the Panthers offense. The Panthers coming off a poor offensive showing last week look to get it going at home and pick up the much needed win. Predicition Buccaneers over Panthers.

The Wisconsin Blaze (0-3) hope to spread across into the U.P. of Michigan and bring a little heat wave to the Northern Michigan Arcticblast (2-1) when they meet this weekend in a battle of East Division rivals. Blaze coming off a dismal performance defensively last week look to put a stop the Arcticblast offense early and turn it into a classic close football game. The Arcticblast coming off a stellar Defensive game against the Panthers look to improve on that and shut down the Blaze Offense. Prediction Arcticblast over the Blaze.

"GPFL GAME OF THE WEEK"
The Chippewa Valley Predators (2-1) travel to Minnesota to take in the Legends of Lake City (3-0). The Predators coming off a disasterous effort last week look to rebound and get back on the winning track this weekend. They hope to get both sides of the ball going this game, especially the offense. The Legends Defense has yet to be scored on and look to continue their shut-out success this weekend. Look for this to be a good match-up, Predators have yet to lose to the Legends. This could come down to the wire. Prediction Legends over Predators.

The Rochester Giants (3-0) stomp into Red Wing to take on the River Valley Knights (0-3) who hope to survive the on slaught which wil be coming this weekend. The Giants coming off an impressive game last week against the Predators, look to walk right through the Knights. The River Valley Knights still licking there wounds from last weeks whopping from the Legends look for some ray of light and survival skills from the block buster movie"The Day After Tomorrow". Prediction Giants over the Knights.

The Oakdale Outlaws (0-3) get the week off. Next week face the Twin Cities Titans at home. Congratulations Again to Dave & Laurie Weeks!!! Hope you had a wonderful week.

6/4/04 - WEEK THREE IN THE G.P.F.L. SCHEDULE HAS BIG GAMES WITH BIG SURPRISES???

The Great Plains Football League in week three action saw some big games on its schedule with big surprising results, shocking to be more exact! The Twin Cities Titans had the bye week. The Big Game of the Week was the rematch of last years G.P.F.L. Championship Game in which the Rochester Giants defeated the Chippewa Valley Predators and stopped the Predators from winning a third straight G.P.F.L. Championship by the score of 42-28. Now both teams are in the same division because of the G.P.F.L. expansion and realignment. The Giants wasted little time in showing how much they want to retain their G.P.F.L. Title as they made their statement early with a thunderous defeat of the Predators 63-8. The Giants move to 3-0 on the year and look to be the unbeatable at this point of the season, even though it's early into season, but they look like their in championship form already, a well oiled machine clicking on all cylinders. The Predators drop to 2-1 on the season, but look for the Predators to bounce back and make a serious run at the division title and make it a interesting race to the G.P.F.L. Title! The Lake City Legends daised and confused the River Valley Knights to claim a 55-0 shut-out victory. The Legends remain undefeated at 3-0 and are poised to make a run at the division title and really make the south division a three way battle royal. The Knights fall to 0-3 on the year. The Windy City Buccaneers blew into town and blew out the Wisconsin Blaze 50-8 before the flame could even get lit. The Blaze have yet to get hot on the offensive side of the board. The Buc's now seem to have the ship sailing back in the right direction. The Buccaneers improve to 2-1 on the year. While the Blaze drop to 0-3 on the season. The Northern Michigan Arcticblast seem to have given the Wausau Panthers a bit of the chills this past weekend. As the Blast shut-out the Panthers 12-0 in a good hard hitting battle. The Blast improve to 2-1 on the season, while the Panthers drop to 0-3 on the year. In other G.P.F.L. action saw the undefeated Duluth-Superior Shoremen storm the Iron Range Hitmen hard and often to claim a 45-6 victory to remain undefeated. The Shoremen are now 3-0 on the year and the Hitmen fall to 0-2 on the season. The Alexandria Mustangs in a defensive battle edged out the Northern Wisconsin Reapers 7-0 to improve to 2-1 on the season, while the Reapers drop to 0-2 on the year. The Minnesota Stallions got back on track with a 24-0 shut-out of the Oakdale Outlaws. The Stallions improve to 2-1 on the year, while the Outlaws drop to 0-3 on the season. A Special Congratulations go out to Dave & Laurie Weeks who were married at halftime of the Outlaws and Stallions game. The referee's blew their whistles and signaled good when the pastor announced them as Mr. & Mrs. Weeks, two great people. The entire G.P.F.L. would like to wish them the very best and hope their lives are filled with many years of love and happiness. Again Congratulations Dave & Laurie!!!

The Stallions drop to 1-1 on the year. The Alexandria Mustangs trampled the Oakdale Outlaws 23-7 in the swamp as they move to 1-1 on the year, the Outlaws fall to 0-2 on the season. The Twin Cities Titans slayed the Northern Wisconsin Reapers 52-13 to go 2-0 on the year, as the Reapers drop to 0-1.
