NFL TO GET INVOLVED IN ADULT AMATEUR FOOTBALL!!!
The word we have heard from people we know in the NFL is that the league is going to get involved with our sport by the
year 2007. They realize the sport is growing bigger and bigger each year and they need to capture the market in some way.
The don't like the terms Semi Pro or Minor League, but do like Adult Amateur Football. The NFL is also looking closely at
Team USA Gladiators to possibly represent adult amateur football USA style with a series of games in Europe and Asia. If the
NFL gets involved (no one knows to what extend, but its for sure it won't be as a farm system, College is their farm system).
Ron Real of the American Football Association is reported to be working with them for some affliation with youth football.
FORMER DETROIT SEMINOLE RUNNINGBACK HOPES TO MAKE BIG IMPACT WITH DENVER BRONCOS!
The Former Detroit Seminoles running back Marlion Jackson made it to the NFL with the New York Jets, where he has played
the past three seasons. It resulted in his former minor league teammates rooting for the Jets instead of the home town Detroit
Lions.
Jackson now in his 4th NFL season. This season though he is no longer with the Jets. He is now a member of the Denver
Broncos. If Marlion Jackson never plays a single down with his new team and if Jackson's remarkable story ended today, he
still got the chance to live out his life long dream of playing in the NFL. Just think, here is a guy that is only four seasons
ago was playing in semi-pro/minor league football for the Detroit Seminoles. NO PAY, long bus trips and/or car pooling to
games. To Jackson, every waking second in the NFL is a life-long dream where failure factors nowhere in the equation. When
you grow up in the mean streets of Detroit and survive the dangers and temptations of the hood. Then go through a disappointing
and slow tek of a junior college career, a 3 year hiatus of minor league football, then back to college only to go undrafted
as an NFL free agent, yet still make a NFL roster. You are a winner in every sense of the definition. Everything else is pure
gravy and additional blessings by God. Marlion Jackson is not only the player every NFL coach hopes to have, he's the man
every parent would want their son to be. Marlion Jackson is a devote Christian, that doesn't smoke, doesn't drink and when
home in Detroit, he will occasionally return to his position as the piano player for his grandmother's church. To most that
would be great human qualities, in the this the "Me-Me" world of NFL primadonna's. Where big ego's, big-money, big
attitudes, it's unbelievable.
Marion's dream-(along with his former Noles teammates, which are living vicariously through him) will continue this season
as a Denver Bronco. After being cut from the Jets at the tale end of last season. Marlion Jackson's dream took a slight detour
landing in the "Mile High City" of Denver. This season Marlion expects to see more playing time than he did with
the Jets and possibly enter the interchangeable rotation of successful backs who played for the Broncos the past five seasons.
One void Marlion hopes he can at least halfway fill is the empty slot vacated by the released (retired) Terrell Davis, and
the trade of Super Rookie Sensation Clinton Portis.
For now Marlion Jackson will do whatever it takes to continue his dream, for which there is no sleep. If that means playing
3rd string fullback, or going down on every special teams, then so be it. One thing for sure, in the minds of every single
past and present Detroit Seminoles teammate, family and friends. He will always be number one on their depth chart of life.
You can learn more about Marlion Jackson and his bio by logging on to the Denver Broncos web site Roster and click on
to his name. I am sure every amatuer/semi-pro/minor league football is rooting for Marlion Jackson as he represents them all!
THE SACRAMENTO WOLVERINES CAPTURE 2004 GSAFL CHAMPIONSHIP!
Kezar Stadium, San Francisco, Calif. - The 3rd Annual Golden State Amateur Football League Championship went right down
to the final minutes before a winner was determined. The game matched two undefeated AAA teams, the Sacramento Wolverines
(12-0) versus the South Bay (San Jose) Buccaneers (12-0). The game was a battle from the start as both teams struggled early
offensively and the defenses' established the tone. After the first quarter the
both teams had goose eggs on the board. In the second quarter the Wolverines drove down the field and scored to go up
7-0 as the PAT was good! On the ensuing kick-off the Buccaneers Calvin Edwards dodged, weaved and raced his way through the
Wolverines defense for a 80+ yard touchdown.
The two point attempt was no good and the score was 7-6 in favor of the Wolverines. Late in the Second quarterWith less
than a minute left in the half the Wolverines once again scored through the air, this time a 15-yard strike to R.J.Bradley.
The PAT made it 14-6. Back again came the Buccaneers with time running out as they drove down field to the Wolverines 20-yard
line where RB Johnny Gray scampered in for the score. The extra point was blocked and the half ended 14-12. On the opening
series of the Third quarter, the Buccaneers were forced to punt, the ball hit the Wolverines return man on the face mask,
bounced off and was recovered by the Buccaneers in good field position. Two plays later the Buccaneers score came on a 35-yard
touchdown pass. The two point conversion was stuffed by the Wolverines and the Bucs were leading 18-14. The Fourth quarter
was a battle of defenses again as both teams were unable to move the ball. The Wolverines caught the break of the game with
2:37 left in the game when they picked off a Buccaneers pass and were on their own 40-yard line. With time running out and
the game on the line the Wolverines were able to get the game winning touchdown. The game ended with the Buccaneers fumbling
on their own 19-yard line and Sacramento ran out the clock. Final Score - Wolverines 21 Buccaneers 18. The Wolverines will
now go on to meet the winner of the Pacific Division of the Minor League Football Association in a tournament game of the
Far West Football Association. The winner of theat game will host the California Football Association vs Southwest Football
League tournament game on December 11th at Kezar Stadium.
The GSAFL AA Championship which was also supposed to be played the same day on the same field had to be rescheduled until
this coming Saturday at Kezar. The game will match the undefeated Fresno Redhawks and Bay Area Assassins.

RMFL playoff record 43 passes (20-43-1-231-1). The first Mustang drive took them to the Rhino-Raiders 5-yard line only to
stall out and then have the field goal fall short.
Later in the first quarter, Rhino-Raider QB Dave Stireman, caught fire. Stireman, who was named the Championship game
MVP, completed 17 of 26 passes for 321 yards, 5 touchdowns and no interceptions. Stireman completed 3 touchdown passes the
second quarter to three different receivers, Rahad Kennedy (17-yards), Norvel Young (24-yards) and Damon Greenberry (50-yards).
The Rhino-Raides turned up the heat on high as went into halftime with 27-0 lead or the Mustangs. Going into the FOurth quarter

The Top-Ranked Rochester Giants Outscored The Two-time Defending G.P.F.L. Champs, The Chippewa Valley Predators, 42-28
To Claim The 2003 G.P.F.L. Title!!!
Rochester, MN - In front of large and energetic crowd the G.P.F.L.'s best two teams showcased their talented and great
football teams for all to see. The top seeded Rochester Giants and also the G.P.F.L.'s Top Rated Defense did what nobody else
could do the past two G.P.F.L. seasons, they defeated the Chippewa Valley Predators in a G.P.F.L. Championship Game. The Rochester
Giants played a great game both Offensively and Defensively Saturday to claim their first G.P.F.L. Title. The Rochester Giants
also appeared in the 2001 G.P.F.L. Title game against the Chippewa Valley Predators, they came up short that year, but continued
to have a very competitive team in 2002. Their front office problems did have an adverse affect on the team which resulted
in the team violating league policies which ultimately caused the team to be banned from the 2002 G.P.F.L. Play-offs (which
they had qualified as a wild-card team. In 2003 under new ownership, the Rochester Giants organization flourished thanks to
Mr. Rick Ties. The future looks even brighter for the 2003 G.P.F.L. Champion Rochester Giants. The Predators struggled Offensively
and Defensively with penalties, mental errors and poor tackling at critical times during the game. All of which ultimately
contributed to their demise. To the Chippewa Valley Predators credit who also did what nobody else thought they could do.
Win three consecutive G.P.F.L. Divisional Titles and play in three consecutive G.P.F.L. Title Games, which nobody has done
since the league officially changed it's name to the Great Plains Football League. We, the Great Plains Football League, the
Chippewa Valley Predators and the Rochester Giants, their fans, coaches and players are truly great people and great champions.
People like that, is what makes this league so special! Also, Congratulations To Rocheser Giants Owner/GM Rick Ties for the
2003 G.P.F.L. Owner Of The Year, his coaching staff, players, sponsors and fans on a great 2003 G.P.F.L. Season. More 2003
